Payment gateway integration
Payment gateway integration, done right the first time.
We connect your website, portal or web application to the payment gateway behind it: Authorize.Net, Stripe, PayPal, CyberSource or Heartland. Checkout, invoices, saved cards and recurring billing, built, tested end to end and supported after launch.
See it work
Every way you get paid, through one gateway
Checkout, portal, invoice links and autopay all run through the same payment gateway, so every payment lands in one merchant account and one report.
Payments from website checkout, a customer portal, invoice links and autopay all pass through one payment gateway, then to the processor, your merchant account, your bank and a nightly summary.
Gateways we integrate
Pick the gateway that fits. We’ll wire it up.
-
Authorize.Net integration
Our preferred setup, paired with an International Bancard merchant account. Proven, widely supported and strong for invoices, saved cards and recurring billing.
-
Stripe
Processor and gateway in one, with quick onboarding. A good fit when you want to start fast or need modern subscription tools.
-
PayPal
For customers who expect a PayPal button, alongside card payments.
-
CyberSource
Visa’s enterprise gateway, common at universities and larger organizations with existing contracts.
-
Heartland
Heartland Payment Systems, for businesses already processing with Heartland in person.
-
Something else?
Tell us what you use today. If it has an API, we can usually integrate it.
What we build on top
More than a payment button
-
Custom checkout
Registrations, events, orders, deposits and sign-up fees, connected to the systems you already run.
-
Customer payment portals
A branded place to pay invoices and statements on your own subdomain.
-
Recurring billing
Tuition, memberships, service plans and payment plans charged automatically to cards on file.
-
Invoices that link to payment
Send an invoice, the customer clicks and pays, and you see it in tonight’s summary.
Built to last
Gateways change. Your checkout shouldn’t break.
Processors update their APIs, retire old integration methods and change security requirements. When that happens, we update your integration ahead of their deadlines, so your customers never see an outage.
Ohio State’s Center for Continuing Medical Education has relied on us through several of those platform changes. In their words, every transition has been seamless.

How payment gateway integration works
Every project follows the same path, whether it is a single checkout page or a full customer payment portal.
- Choose the gateway: Authorize.Net, Stripe, PayPal, CyberSource or Heartland.
- Set up the merchant account, or connect the one you already have.
- Build the checkout, invoice payments or portal your customers will use.
- Run test transactions for every payment type and amount.
- Train your staff on receipts, refunds and the nightly summary.
- Launch on the date you pick, then monitor closely for several weeks.
How much does payment gateway integration cost?
Our standard online bill pay portal is $3,750 one time, or $450 a month for 12 months, then $100 a month hosting and $99.99 a year security. Custom checkout and billing integrations are quoted to scope after a free mockup. Card processing fees are separate and billed by your processor.
What is payment gateway integration?
Connecting your website or application to a payment gateway, the service that securely sends card payments to your processor for approval. Done well, customers pay on a page that matches your brand while card data is handled by the gateway.
What’s the difference between a payment gateway and a payment processor?
The gateway securely sends card details for approval; the processor and merchant account move the money to your bank. Authorize.Net is a gateway; Stripe combines both. Our guide to payment gateways, processors and merchant accounts explains it step by step.
Which payment gateway should I use?
For most businesses we recommend Authorize.Net with an International Bancard merchant account. If you already process with Stripe, PayPal, CyberSource or Heartland, we can integrate that instead.
Do you store card numbers?
No. We use tokenization and the gateway’s secure payment tools, so card numbers are never stored on our servers.
How long does an integration take?
Anywhere from two weeks to a couple of months, depending on complexity. Every build includes testing and staff training before launch.
